The Challenge
SpellcasterFX was ready to relaunch their brand to the public. The co-founders had a storied product development history at household pedal brands like Catalinbread, Malekko and Kittycaster. They now had a line of incredible fuzz, overdrive and boost pedals, but had zero brand marketing infrastructure.
Their online presence was a placeholder, they weren’t capturing emails, and they had never run a campaign or sold via ecommerce. They needed a complete launch of their brand—all built to scale, all without burning any cash.
Navigating gear-culture, we faced challenges in creating a message that balanced technical credibility with creative vision, while supporting their launch with visuals and strategy that resonate with gearheads and dealers alike.
Our Approach
We built the entire ecosystem from scratch—rebranding the site with a distinct visual identity based on their pedal lineup, launching a fully refreshed ecommerce experience, and creating a complete email system with segmentation and automation. We also produced all product photography and a launch video entirely in-house, developed content and campaign rollouts for Instagram and email, and implemented analytics and tracking to measure real conversion performance. Every piece of this was done internally, with no external budget and zero paid ads.
